Job Title: Director Business Development - Interactive

Job Perspective:
You understand marketers and are viewed as someone they can look to for ideas and solutions. You have created relationships with some of the most desired global brands in the New York metropolitan area. You want to work with clients to bring a holistic approach to their marketing and sales challenges. You know that ads are not enough, yet you see that advertising and media can be powerful if part of an overall strategy and set of solutions. You are so passionate about client success that they often view you as a member of their team. You are “the” trusted advisor to the client; creating value by solving real business problems. Primary Responsibilities:
• Originate new business opportunities/clients within the Interactive and Ecommerce markets
• Build relationships with leading Marketing Executives who are seeking partnerships to invest, optimize, and improve the performance of their marketing investments, specifically in the areas of online marketing platforms and media campaigns
• Help clients understand the value of online marketing as a key strategy
• Be a client advocate
• Manage the relationship with key clients, and bring other team members to support the relationship management plan
• Expand business with clients by becoming a trusted advisor and using the full range of Sapient services to achieve their objectives
• Leverage Sapient’s unique blend of Interactive and Consulting services to create Client Success and expand Sapient’s business
• Lead the business development strategy by “quarterbacking” the media team, strategy/plan team, client services, user experience and other domains to deliver prospective client presentations, proposals, and quotes to secure new client relationships
• Meet or exceed annual sales quota based on new client acquisition

Experience Guidelines:
• A minimum of 7-10 years new business development/client leadership within Marketing, Advertising and Interactive Media. Experience within interactive agency preferred
• Track record of meeting/exceeding annual sales quota based on new client acquisition
• Strong relationships within the South Eastern region
• Experience with managing interactive investments ranging from $10M-25M in media expenditures, and $2-5 million in services.
• Team player who can work with multiple departments to deliver results
• A self starter who is resourceful and creative with their approach to getting things done
• Excellent written and verbal communications

Education:

Undergraduate business degree, MBA, or business background preferred
